Little Frankie the Redhead

Well, our little man has red hair like his Pappa Lux. I guess I had the recessive gene in me. It may or may not stay, but it looks super cute with his big blue eyes. Also, Hunter is eating like a champ! He loves sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots...he eats, but doesn't care for, peas and green beans. He's still funnier and happier than ever, laughing and smiling constantly. He sounds like a dying, screeching cat sometimes when he gets really excited.

People say he's looking more and more like Ronnie. Last night he slept through the whole night for the first time. It was great!!!! (for him and us!). He had a rough couple of nights recently because of a cold/stomach issues/teething..poor baby. I took him to the doctor after 3 nights of no sleep for all of us, and he just said it will take its course (the cold), and to switch him to soy milk to see if that helps. Well, it obviously did, so no more breastfeeding. I've been weaning myself off so I don't go through the misery I hear about. So far, so good. I wanted to breastfeed him until a minimum 6 months, but 4 1/2 isn't bad. Whatever makes him feel better...

At his 4 month checkup, he was 15 lbs 9 oz and 24 inches long. When I returned for his sick visit 2 weeks later, he was over 16 lbs... Big boy!

We are looking forward to dressing him up for Halloween. I think he'll be a monkey. We'll be sure to take lots of pictures. Here are some great ones below...

4 months and teething!

Hunter is officially 4 months and teething!!! He has all the symptoms of a cold, which we found out are actually symptoms of teething...including a runny nose and coughing. Who would have thought??? He'd been pulling on his ears lately and I thought he was doing it when he was getting sleepy, but we also found out that he's doing that because of the pain that radiates to his ears because of his gum pain. Poor baby : (
Hunter has also started day care since I'm back to work and he's doing great. He loves it! There are only three 2 year olds and one other infant his age. The interaction is going to be great for him. Hunter's first plane trip is coming up. We're going to see Pappa Lux in California mid November. We can't wait!
