11 months

Its been sooo long since I've updated this. We've been so busy. Here are some recent pics of the little man!

So far, Hunter has taken his first steps, he has 10 teeth, he can say ma-ma and da-da...he makes fart noises at restaurants, he mocks EVERYTHING we do (oh no!), he scoots (not crawl), he fell down the steps the other day...

Lets see, what else? He loves Bella more than us, I think. He pulls on the cats and they hate him. He throws all his toys down the basement steps through the cat door. He is so curious to what is on the other side of the cat door...he'll look down, what we call "the rabbit hole," for several minutes just wondering what could be down there.

He pulls all of the toilet paper off the rolls. He smashes his face on the shower door while we are taking showers. He laughs at everything!!! While I was gardening, he stuck his ninny in dirt the other day and then put it in his mouth. He is just down right rotten sometimes. haha! When he's happy he yells for Da-da, and when he's sad, hungry or sleepy he yells for Ma-ma. I don't mind that though.

He gets crazy excited for bathtime. When you walk into the bathroom and start running the bathtub water, he starts to take his own shirt off! He's just a character all around.

He's eaten all kinds of food ranging from japanese, ethiopian, and indian. There is nothing he turns down. He's a great eater! I will update pictures soon. Our camera crapped out on us so we are about to purchase another.

The Red Mohawk

Well, its been awhile since I posted anything on here, and I know lots of people check on it often....so let me catch you up. Hunter is now 7 1/2 months, has two teeth, can stand on his own and laughs harder than any baby on earth. He thinks that Bella is just the funniest thing in the entire world, and Bella just loves Hunter. She is so gentle with him. I'll post some videos of the two of them playing... We actually uploaded it to youtube because it was too big to email to family, and there have been over 130 views.

He is getting so big. He balances himself standing up without holding on to anything. His new walking shoes help support his ankles. He is not crawling though. He's eating everything, veggies and fruits. He loves the little mesh net with the handle that we put fruit in. He eats bananas and blackberries from that.

Hunter has red hair. He gets it from his Pappa Lux. Its the same shade of red. And its super thick down the middle top so we gave him a mohawk...it was pretty cute.

He is an absolute character though. He laughs at everyone he sees and smiles non-stop. He just loves when women talk to him when we're in public. He smiles then buries his head in my arm as if he's shy, but then he quickly turns back to them to smile again. I'll post more pictures and another video.

6 months and 2 teeth!

Well, today, Hunter is 6 months old! And...he has two little teeth. The right one started coming in about 4 days ago and the left bottom was about a day behind that one. Its so cute. He's beginning to look a lot like a mini hillbilly. In the past few days, he's gotten teeth, seen his first Christmas tree and his first snow. We are all doing great. He's still such a great baby. He sleeps through the night most of the time, but sometimes will wake up hungry once around 3am. He LOVES daycare. Sometimes I don't think he wants to come home. We bought him a jumparoo and we call him a mad scientist because he goes nuts over the lights, sounds, toys, and the fact that he can jump around like crazy. He's such a character.

He laughs at everything and he's ticklish all over. When Bella walks in the room, he lights up. He laughs at everything she does. And Bella loves him right back. She licks his hands and face and is so gentle with him. He has a very, very cute laugh. I'll get it on video soon and post it. Its contagious.

California visit to see Pappa

Hunter was perfect on the flight. No crying, no whining, all smiles! Everyone was impressed including the flight crew. Hunter even got to see the cockpit. He slept quite a bit, but was up for one take off and one landing. He laughed and smiled at all the people and flirted with the women. He is now flirting with women who talk cute to him, then he burries his head in my shoulder, then he looks back to get more attention. He's a ham.
He had a great time at Pappa's farm. He got to see chickens, birds, many more dogs, cats, and sheep. Freddy the sheep was raised by Dad and Karin when its mother died giving birth, so Freddy is especially friendly. Hunter was able to pet him. Hunter loved Woody as well.

He also got the opportunity to watch Pappa do a knee surgery, so he had a lot of firsts on this trip. The weather was beautiful, and it was such a bummer leaving, as always. We all had such a great time. Here's some great pictures!

Happy Feet!

Happy Halloween everyone! Hunter was a penguin...our little happy feet. It was so super cute. The little penguin didn't last too long in the cold though. We went to PA to watch our nephews trick-or-treat. Next year will be much more fun for him even though candy will still be out. At least he will be able to walk for some of the time. Our trip to CA is coming up in 2 weeks. We'll be visiting Pappa Lux. Hunter will get to see all the animals and where his mommy grew up. We are really looking forward to the trip! Probably won't post again until we get back, so I'm sure we'll have lots of good pictures.

Little Frankie the Redhead

Well, our little man has red hair like his Pappa Lux. I guess I had the recessive gene in me. It may or may not stay, but it looks super cute with his big blue eyes. Also, Hunter is eating like a champ! He loves sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots...he eats, but doesn't care for, peas and green beans. He's still funnier and happier than ever, laughing and smiling constantly. He sounds like a dying, screeching cat sometimes when he gets really excited.

People say he's looking more and more like Ronnie. Last night he slept through the whole night for the first time. It was great!!!! (for him and us!). He had a rough couple of nights recently because of a cold/stomach issues/teething..poor baby. I took him to the doctor after 3 nights of no sleep for all of us, and he just said it will take its course (the cold), and to switch him to soy milk to see if that helps. Well, it obviously did, so no more breastfeeding. I've been weaning myself off so I don't go through the misery I hear about. So far, so good. I wanted to breastfeed him until a minimum 6 months, but 4 1/2 isn't bad. Whatever makes him feel better...

At his 4 month checkup, he was 15 lbs 9 oz and 24 inches long. When I returned for his sick visit 2 weeks later, he was over 16 lbs... Big boy!

We are looking forward to dressing him up for Halloween. I think he'll be a monkey. We'll be sure to take lots of pictures. Here are some great ones below...
